Charles B. Burkhart, Jr.
Founder

Chas founded Rosemont Investment Partners, LLC in 2000. Prior to forming Rosemont, he was President of Investment Counseling, Inc. (“IC”), an asset management business consultancy and M&A advisor he founded in 1988. Since that time he has worked with hundreds of investment firms on issues such as compensation, business strategy, valuation, partnering, and mergers and acquisitions in the asset management industry. In 1990 he developed Competitive Challenges, the longest-running best practices analysis of the money management industry, now run by Greenwich Associates. Prior to establishing IC, he was a principal with the executive search firm of Lee Calhoon & Co., specializing in the field of pensions and investments.

Chas holds a BA in English from Boston College and is a frequent speaker and writer on trends and challenges in the investment management business.

David D. Silvera
Managing Director

David directs Rosemont’s activities with respect to analyzing and valuing investment prospects as well as providing advice and counsel to Rosemont’s holdings. He sources prospective investments and oversees the firm’s relationships with service providers. He also is a member of the Investment Committee.

Prior to the formation of Rosemont, he directed the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice for Investment Counseling, Inc., assisting clients with the development and implementation of transaction-related strategies. Prior to joining IC in 1997, David gained over seven years experience in corporate finance and financial advisory consulting with the investment banking divisions of Smith Barney, Legg Mason Wood Walker and Coopers & Lybrand. In addition to his work as a financial advisor to companies, Mr. Silvera spent four years as a wine broker and importer in the international wine trade.

David holds a BA in English from Columbia College and a MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to mergers and acquisitions in the investment management industry.

Genie Logue
Principal

Genie is responsible for identifying potential investment candidates on behalf of Fund, as well as performing valuations, structuring analysis and significant due diligence.

Genie joined Rosemont as a Principal in July 2002. Prior to Rosemont, Genie worked for Superior Group as a finance associate as well as its corporate venture arm, SGI Capital. Genie has also worked in AIG Global Investment Corporation’s London office as an equity analyst, and for Brinker Capital, where she was co-chair of its investment committee and oversaw the reporting area.

She has a BA from Villanova University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Thomas M. Balderston
Principal

Tom joined Rosemont as an advisor in January 2006 to assist the firm with investment underwriting and structuring, portfolio management, valuation, liquidity analysis, market positioning and other fund management issues.


Prior Tom has been in the private equity arena for 20 years as a fund principal, fund investor and private investor. In 2002, he formed Balderston Capital, LLC, (BCL), a private equity investment advisory and strategy firm.  BCL advises and invests in funds and companies.  Prior to that, Tom ran the investment subsidiary of Superior Group, Inc., a substantial private holding company in Radnor, Pennsylvania.  Tom developed and implemented the business plan of this new private equity unit.  SGIC invested corporate resources in a combination of direct investment opportunities with other private equity funds. Prior to Superior, Tom was a general partner at TDH, a long-standing Philadelphia area venture capital firm where he was a general partner.  TDH invested in a broad range of portfolio companies, diversified by stage and industry and generally located in the mid-Atlantic region.

Tom has a BA from Williams College and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.

Sam Schecter, EA, CFP®, CMC
Chief Financial Officer

Sam manages the tax, accounting and human resource functions for Rosemont. Prior to joining Rosemont, he served as CFO for Investment Counseling for seven years.

Sam holds a BS degree from Long Island University, did his MBA graduate work at Pace University and is an Enrolled Agent, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Management Consultant, and Certified Compensation Professional.

Melinda S. Bugg
Chief Administrative Officer

Melinda works closely with Chas Burkhart and is responsible for coordinating the firm’s office operations, investor communications and administrative functions.

Prior to joining Rosemont in July 2003 she was a Manager with SCIREX Corporation for five years and before that an Assistant Vice President with American Business Financial Services.

Melinda holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University.
